I thought it would be fun to share some tips on some of the make-up of my patterns.
There are so many lovely fabrics out there but as a general rule I find a light weight fabric is ideal, cheesecloth is of course just right.
I have learnt through trial and error, follow the fabric! If its creased or has wrinkles hey! use it in the design...quirky is good.
Features love it or hate it they have to be done in some form or another. I love to needle sculpt a nose, shade in an eye, but this isn't for everyone a steady hand is needed.
I woud always recommend to practice several times, it is impossble to get both eyes the same, so don't be hard on yourself. We are crafting Primitive and Odd Bodd characters they are quirky in their design and make-up.
Have a go yourself, you will be surprised at what you can do, the most important thing of all ENJOY!
